History Ken Weir, a CPA, founded Weir & Associates on March 12, 1985. Why on March 12th?
Well, when he arrived at work on the morning of March 1st, he was met at the front door with the news that his boss had a massive heart attack and had died that morning. With that news, in an instant, he was transformed from a senior accountant in a small firm to the owner - or so he thought.
But, two days later he got the news. The firm had been sold. Even though there was a buyout agreement, it was not written and the widow never knew about it.
So, he remained through March 11th for a smooth transition to the new owner and on March 12th our firm was founded.
However, a few years later it was clear that something was wrong. It seemed as though the firm wasn’t getting anywhere. We encountered the same recurring problems over and over again. Month in and month out. Year in and year out. The same problems.
Thus began our quest. To find answer an answer to the following question - What makes successful businesses successful? What we found was astonishing and lead us to the development of the Corporate BluePrints process.
